New Zealand’s Network for Learning (N4L) has appointed Larrie Moore as its CEO, effective 7 February. Moore is best known for creating and launching mobile brand 2degrees, which attracted 875,000 customers in the first two and half years of operation. Prior to 2degrees, he was COO at Orcon. He was also previously GM of brand and consumer marketing at Vodafone. Moore currently serves as non-executive director of Wi-Fi services provider Zenbu Networks.

Moore replaces Greg Woolley, who served as N4L interim CEO for the past four months, and previously John Hanna, N4L’s founding CEO. Woolley will remain with the company in a part-time capacity as chief product officer.

Network for Learning (N4L) currently provides more than 2,400 schools across New Zealand with internet connection via its managed network. The service is fully funded by the New Zealand government and managed for schools, allowing every student and teacher to access the internet for their learning, regardless of where they go to school.
