Industries Minister R.V. Deshpande has invited Maruti Suzuki and Honda Cars India to set up their electric vehicle units in Karnataka The Minister has written separate letters to Maruti chairman R.C. Bhargava, and Honda Cars CEO Yoichiro Ueno.
Karnataka, he said, already has an electric vehicle policy in place. He mentioned about the availability of land and facilities at industrial clusters in Hosakote, Bidadi, Hubballi-Dharwad, Shivamogga and Belagavi and, and said firms such cas Volvo, Telco, BEML, TVS, Honda, L& T Komatsu and Toyota Kirloskar are already have a presence in the State, reported Economic Times.
