WILTON — Wilton High School’s annual comedy show will return on Friday, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m., and on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 5 and 8 p.m. Heather DeLude, a Second City Conservatory graduate, has brought her Chicago-style improv to the high school for the past five years.
Freeplay is fueled by audience suggestions and participation. The show boasts a large number of underclassmen and will feature a live band, backstage tech crew and piano player. Tickets are general admission seating and cost $10 for students and $12 for adults. They will be sold during the lunch waves at the high school as well as at the door.
The high school is also preparing its annual Senior Show, from Feb. 8-10. The show is created each year for the members of the senior class, many of whom have never been on stage before in their lives. This year’s show is a student-written piece called “Scamilton — An American Ripoff.” It is a spoof of the musical “Hamilton” and is a blend of the 21st and 18th centuries, loaded with great music, historical characters and lots of laughs.
