The actor, who is starring in Fast and Furious Live, chatted to the entertainment reporter about the show before playing a game, which saw him match up cars with the Good Morning Britain hosts.

Speaking before the interview was shown, Richard warned presenters Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard: “It was quite a lively chat, he was rather taken with my accent.”

During their interview, Richard probed: “Can you tell us anything about the show, a sneak peek for fans?”

“I’ll tell you everything,” Vin exclaimed in a mock Cockney accent. 

A stunned Richard laughed: “I knew you’d squeal.”

Cutting back to the studio, the presenter went on to add that the star got a lot more excited when he was asked to work out which vehicle each host had as their first car. 

“Had he had a lot of coffee?” Kate asked. 

Richard explained: “By that point in the day, I had been up since quarter past three, I’d shoe horned a lunch in with the mother, I’d been to a kettle bell class, I’d done two dog walks and interviewed someone from Coronation Street and at the end of the day they put me in a room with Vin Diesel, it was extraordinary.”

He then cut back to the interview, which saw the 50-year-old struggle to play Richard’s car game. 

Hearing that he had failed to pass the test, he barked: “I didn’t know you were really playing the game. I thought this was just something cheeky as they like to say.

“Did I win? I won, I beat him, I knew I’d beat him, I finally beat him.”

Richard was left speechless as Vin shouted: “Richard, you’ve been licked this time.”

Viewers at home were also stunned by the American star’s behaviour and took to Twitter to comment on his bizarre outburst. 

“Vin Diesel, you alright? #GMB,” one viewer asked. 

While another added: “#GMB Is Diesel ok?!”

A third continued: “How annoying is Vin Diesel #GMB.”

“What's wrong with Vin Diesel #GMB” someone else remarked.
