Police nabbed Karamveer near Nawada metro station

Two days after he allegedly stabbed his father-in-law to death at the latter’s home in Uttam Nagar on Tuesday, the Delhi police arrested the accused from Nawada metro station on Thursday.

The son-in-law, Karamveer, had allegedly killed his father-in-law in front of his wife and her mother. He fled the spot after committing the crime. A police team was formed and several informers were deployed and local intelligence in the area was also gathered to nab the accused. Photographs of the accused was obtained from his social media account and circulated among informers, said Shibesh Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka).

The team got information that the accused was going to Nawada metro station to meet someone. A police team was despatched to the metro station and the accused was nabbed from the spot.

‘Angry with wife’

During interrogation, Karamveer disclosed that he was angry as he felt that his father-in-law was coming in the way of anamicable settlement between him and his wife. In a fit of rage he killed the man, he reportedly said.

According to the police, Karamveer on Tuesday appeared in a family court in Dwarka district court in connection with a domestic violence case filed by his wife. After the hearing, he went straight to his father-in-law’s residence in Uttam Nagar and killed him.
