Albuquerque fifth-grader mistakenly passes marijuana in school

Authorities at an have stated that a fifth-grader mistook her parents' medicinal marijuana for candy and passed it out to other students at school.

According to in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the School of Excellence student handed out the pot edibles last week before teachers noticed her acting strangely.

"She had this box, it had a label on it that said 'Incredibles.' We just thought it was ordinary gummies," said one of the students who ate the edibles.

Three students ate one gummy and the student who passed out the candy ate three or four pieces, said of Elementary Students, Kristy Del Curto, adding that, "As marijuana becomes legal in each state it's going to become more and more of an issue I believe."

According to the report, Pot gummies can be two to 100 times more potent than traditional marijuana.
