Looks like The S.C. School for the Deaf and the Blind Foundation is gearing up for a hot time on Jan. 27.

The foundation will host its annual Chili Cook-Off that night, featuring 13 teams representing Spartanburg businesses.

This year's theme is "Love Where You Live." WSPA's Christine Scarpelli and Robert Conner will emcee.

Judges include John Bauknight with Longleaf Holdings/NEI Earle Furman, WSPA's Jamarcus Gaston, community volunteer Libba Lee and chef Cecile Wagner.

Dress is casual for the event, which begins at 7 p.m. at the Country Club of Spartanburg.

You can vote any time for the People's Choice Award ($1 per vote) by going to www.scsdbfoundation.org or calling 864-577-7583.

Tickets for the Chili Cook-Off are $65 in advance or $75 at the door.
