Gaurob to perform at Ranthambore Festival

Labik Kamal Gaurob, the frontman of Bangladeshi folk fusion band Ajob is headed out to perform at the three-day (January 19-21) multi-cultural Ranthambore Festival, to be held at Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.

The Ranthambore Festival 2018 is going to present an eclectic line-up of local and international artistes. Farhan Akhtar with Trio Benares, Faran Ensemble, Martin Dubois, Kanha Ram, Rami Devi, Tritha Sinha, Bittu Sahgal, Fiddlers Green and Nehal Khan are all set to perform, among others, this year.

Multi-instrumentalist, composer and vocalist Labik Kamal Gaurob founded the band Ajob in 2001, and has continued his musical experiments with different styles and instruments. Having performed at prestigious international festivals like WOMAD and having collaborated with international musicians, he will take his unique brand of Bangladeshi folk music, composed by mystic bards including Lalon Shai to Ranthambore Festival. Bassist Buno, lead guitarist Saad, drummer Jibon, flautist Jalal and dhol artiste Nazrul will accompany him in the performance.
