ALIQUIPPA — Beginning at noon this Sunday and continuing every third Sunday through December, St. Titus Catholic Church on Franklin Avenue will offer a Latin Mass.
The past 10 years, Knights of Columbus Woodlawn Council 2161 has hosted an occasional celebration of the traditional Latin Mass, but now plans to offer the service once a month. The council said there’s not been a regular Sunday Latin Mass in Beaver County since the early 1990s when it was celebrated at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Beaver.
More than 200 households submitted a request to Bishop David Zubik requesting the service, sometimes referred to as the Tridentine Mass.
The Rev. Ladis J. Cizik will offer the Mass.
