Whether it’s President Trump, a LaMarcus Aldridge trade request or namby pamby NBA fights, San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich calls it like he sees it.
And Pop, following a slew of recent dust-ups, doesn’t have time for fake feuds like Charlotte’s Michael Carter-Williams charging at Washington players, or Kyle Lowry’s recent invitation to Ben Simmons to take their beef to the hallway. Hands were at least thrown between James Johnson and Serge Ibaka, and Orlando’s Arron Afflalo, who narrowly missed on a haymaker directed at Minnesota’s Nemanja Bjelica.

Speaking ahead of Wednesday night's San Antonio-Brooklyn game, Pop let reporters know how he really feels about the aforementioned fights.
“Oh, you mean a typical NBA fight where they go, ‘Let met at him, let me at him. I’m gonna kick his ass, somebody hold me back,’” he joked. “The NBA fights are the silliest, namby pambiest things I’ve ever seen my life. Except there was that one in the stands a few years ago. That one got ugly.”
Popovich is right. That one did get ugly. But the majority of these skirmishes look like they're just for show.
