METRO Houston's HOT and HOV lanes will remain closed through Thursday afternoon because of lingering icy conditions left over by a winter storm Inga.
METRO announced the continued closure around 1 p.m. Thursday, in what will likely affect the afternoon rush hour. The closure includes the HOT and HOV lanes on Interstate 45 North, I-45 South, U.S. 59 North, U.S. 59 South and U.S. 290.
THURSDAY BLAZE: North Houston home fire spreads to neighboring houses
The service hopes to have the lanes reopened by Friday morning.
METRO's bus, METROLift and rail services are operational, however.
