Spanish broadband provider Adamo has announced the expansion of its 'Adamo Fast!' 1Gbps FTTH service to 15 new provinces in the regions of Navarra, Castilla-La Mancha and Northern Lugo. The company, recently acquired by Swedish private equity group EQT, said it will invest over EUR 50 million and create some 1,100 new jobs to bring fibre to over 300,000 households in underserved areas and new towns in the 15 provinces.

The 1 Gbps download and 300 Mbps upload FTTH service costs EUR 34.99 a month with no activation or installation fees in exchange for a 12-month contract. The company is offering a 35 percent discount over 3  months and a free Chromecast device by way of a launch offer.

It’s also launched a platform called ‘Adamo Fiberhoods’, giving consumers the opportunity to request a fibre network in underserved areas. An "ambassador" simply needs to request a deployment on behalf of at least 30 interested consumers for Adamo to begin working on the rollout.
