Duke, Kansas, Kentucky and Michigan State will play in the eighth annual State Farm Champions Classic at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Nov. 6 to tip off the 2018-19 college basketball season, the NCAA announced Wednesday.
The Spartans will take on the Jayhawks followed by the Blue Devils taking on the Wildcats. The games will be broadcast on ESPN.
“We feel that there is natural connection to the start of the season and to the State Farm Champions Classic,” said Clint Overby, vice president of ESPN Events, in a statement. “These four schools have come together to help build an exciting stage to launch the college basketball season.”
Bankers Life Fieldhouse also hosted the event in 2014, with Duke beating Michigan State and Kentucky beating Kansas.
