Supernatural has already seen its fair share of memorable monsters -- like the creepy, children-snatching Changelings and those maniacal Hellhounds Sam affectionately referred to as "demonic pit bulls" -- but did you know creator Eric Kripke was sitting on a list of even wilder creatures for (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) to hunt?
On Thursday, in honor of the premiere of the backdoor pilot for Wayward Sisters, Kripke dropped a never-before-seen list of amazing ideas he came up with when he first began working on Supernatural, and we hope to see at least a few of them surface on the show.
Some of Kripke's ideas have already made it to air, like the Wendigo from Season 1 and, of course, the numerous zombies which have popped up repeatedly to cause trouble for the Winchesters. However, others like the Bell Witch, a murderous invisible entity; and the Dover Demon, a white humanoid creature reportedly spotted in Dover, Massachusettes; have yet to make their TV debut.
Supernatural Boss Explains How Wayward Sisters Will Be Different
We're holding out up that the incredible Faceless Gray Man who appears before hurricanes in South Carolina and the mysterious Kentucky Goblins find their way to television either on Supernatural or the potential spin-off, Wayward Sisters. We must investigate this Faceless Gray Man and find out why he only shows up for hurricanes in South Carolina. Plus, what are the Kentucky Goblins and what are they doing to those poor Kentucky residents? Inquiring minds need to know.
It remains to be seen whether or not those creatures will ever appear on the series, but expect to see plenty of others that will either foil or help Sam and Dean.
Supernatural returns with the backdoor pilot for Wayward Sisters on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 8/7c on The CW.
