TIFFIN — Senior Amy Bullimore became Ohio Northern’s all-time leading scorer on Wednesday evening with a game-high 16 points as the No. 10-ranked Ohio Northern women’s basketball team downed Heidelberg 67-44 at Seiberling Gymnasium.

The Polar Bears extend their winning streak to 15 games and improve to 15-1 on the season and move to a perfect 9-0 through the first half of the double round-robin Ohio Athletic Conference schedule, while the Student Princes drop to 4-12, 2-7.

Bullimore’s 1,255 career points surpass former Polar Bear standout Morgan (Dumbaugh) Bass’ former record of 1,242 points.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — Upper Scioto Valley graduate Emily Patton led the University of Northwestern Ohio with 12 points. Lauren Goodrum had 11 points and Kierra Billingsley added 10 points and eight rebounds also for the Racers (7-13, 3-8 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).

BLUFFTON — Kevin Christie (25), Andrew Hunter (11) and Aaron Rich (10) each scored in double digits for the host Beavers (8-8, 5-4 HCAC).

ADA — Marion Local grad Ryan Bruns had his eighth double-double of the season with game-highs of 29 points and 11 rebounds for the host Polar Bears at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears (11-5 overall) finish the first half of their double round-robin OAC schedule in fourth place with a 6-3 record. The Student Princes improve to 7-9, 3-6.

ELIDA — Elida Local Schools will recognize three individuals who will be inducted into the Elida Athletic Hall of Fame at a ceremony Saturday. A luncheon will begin at 1 p.m. in the High School Commons, followed by the ceremony in the High School Auditorium.

The three inductees are 1962 graduate Del Shinn, 1976 graduate Jeff Brown and 1995 graduate Mianda Watts.

The inductees will also be recognized during a Hall of Fame Presentation on Saturday evening when the boys JV and varsity basketball games are played in the Elida Fieldhouse.

LIMA — Lima Senior has announced tickets presale information for its road games against Ottowa-Glandorf and Lima Central Catholic.

All tickets can be picked up at the high school athletic office.

Tickets pickup Friday for Saturday night’s O-G game will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. for season ticket holders (limit one for one), players/parents, coaches (in season), cheerleaders/parents (limit one per person) and Lima Senior Athletic Department personnel (limit one per person), 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. for students (one per student) and 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. for Lima City Employees (with school ID). Sales to the general public (limit one per person) will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday.

Ticket pickup for Tuesday night’s game against Lima Central Catholic will be during the same times Monday. General public sales (limit one per person) will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.

LIMA — The Lima Senior home games against Findlay that were postponed Jan. 12 due to weather have been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 27.

The freshman game will begin at 4:30 p.m., followed by JV at 6 p.m. and varsity at 7:30 p.m.

Shoot results

FINDLAY — Andrew Elwer and Cameron Elwer from Delphos St. John’s advanced to the Ohio Elks Association Hoop Shoot state competition with first-place finishes at the district held Sunday.

Andrew Elwer won the boys 8-9 division by connecting on 22 of 25 attempts. Cameron Elwer was the 10-11 boys winner, making 22 of 25 and then 31 of 35 in the tiebreaker.

Others from the area competing at the district included Faith Cross (fourth in 8-9 girls), Landeck Elementary’s Brooke Altenburger (tied for fourth in 10-11 girls), Miller City’s Taylor Wilhelm (fifth in 12-13 girls) and Braylon Metzger (tied for fifth in 12-13 boys) of Delphos St. John’s.

The state event will be held Feb. 17 in Gahanna.
