DALLAS (AP) — A cold snap has eased in Texas as officials investigate the deaths of at least five people whose bodies were found outdoors during freezing weather.
The Smith County Sheriff's Office says an 83-year-old woman was found dead Wednesday near Lindale. Authorities believe she wandered outside amid frigid conditions.
