Reigns is one of the WWE’s most popular stars, is a three-time world champion, and is the cousin of wrestler-turned Hollywood sensation The Rock.
He described by pundits is the current “face of the company” and has been described as the heir apparent to John Cena.
The 32-year-old is a member of the Anoa’i family, which includes stars like Rikishi, Umaga, Yokozuna and The Usos.
Richard Rodriguez is currently in jail accused of operating a steroid distribution ring from his gym in Miami and alleged he sold the drugs to Reigns.
He was arrested after Wellness Fitness Nutrition (WFN) was raided last year by the Drug Enforcement Agency.
The WWE star has denied he knows Rodriguez and said he has never heard of WFN.

Rodriguez named Reigns along with other celebrities in an interview released by filmmaker Jon Bravo released on YouTube.
He was arrested accused of selling $10 million (£7 million) worth of steroid products brought into the US from China.
The alleged distributor is currently in prison facing charges of conspiracy to distribute anabolic steroids and money laundering.

"I'm just trying to clear my name and just make people well aware, there is a lot more people out there that were involved and are associated with my company that many individuals did not know,” he said.
The suspected dealer also described the wrestler as a “very down to Earth person”, claiming he identified Reigns after arranging a plea bargain with the DEA.
Reigns was once suspended for 30 days over a violation of the WWE’s wellness policy, but his suspension was revealed to be linked to use of Adderall – a drug used to treat ADHD.

Following Rodriguez claims, the wrestler said: "I have never heard of Richard Rodriguez or Wellness Fitness Nutrition.
"I learned from the mistake I made nearly two years ago and paid the penalty for it.
"Since then, I've passed 11 tests as part of WWE’s independent drug testing program.”

The 6ft 3in, 265lb, Reigns is known for his time with the fan favourite faction The Shield, and is expected to once again headline Wrestlemania – WWE’s biggest show – in April.
Richard L Cooper's law firm, which is representing Rodriguez, told Mail Online: "While I cannot confirm or deny the allegations made by my client, I can tell you that Mr Rodriguez’s statements were made to shed light on the rampant use of steroids and other performance enhancing drugs in all areas of sports and entertainment.
"His comments only go to show that the problem is not with the supply but with the demand.”
WWE is currently building up to the 25th anniversary edition of Raw, but wrestling legend Hulk Hogan confirmed he won't be making a comeback.
