Winter Jam is returning to Charlotte this Sunday, Jan. 21.

Author, speaker and evangelist Nick Hall will deliver the message.

The Pre-Jam Party will feature Dan Bremnes, Mallary Hope, and Westover.

The Winter Jam 2018 Tour Spectacular will hit 46 cities along the eastern part of the country and features the top names in Christian music, such as Skillet, Building 429, comedian John Crist, KB and more.

Renown worship leader and GRAMMY-nominated artist Kari Jobe is among those performing.

Jobe first started performing at 3 years old. She and her parents performed together and traveled with churches. As an adult, she’s been touring for about 10 years.

This is Jobe’s second Winter Jam Tour Spectacular. The first one she was a part of took place around six years ago.

“It was awesome,” said Jobe. “I think it’s one of the reasons I was easily able to say yes to it again.”

Jobe will also be performing with husband Cody Carnes and travelling with soon-to-be 2-year-old son, Canyon.

“(Canyon’s) out here with us. I think it’s helped me with just slowing down and being fully present,” said Jobe.

During her set, Jobe will set aside some time and lead worship. Jobe had been a worship pastor for 13 years at Gateway Church.

“In the middle of my set, I come out to a stage in the middle of the room. The music is dialed down and I’m connecting with the people. That’s my favorite part,” said Jobe.

Winter Jam was created, and hosted, by the Christian music band, NewSong. It started out as a single show in 1995 and has since transformed into a platform for the gospel and showcase for the top artists in Christian music. Artists spanning all genres, including rap, rock, and power pop come together to offer a diverse mix of music.

“It’s a bigger mosaic of what’s happening for people’s lives and hearts. Everyone’s trying to help people relate and have an experience with God. There are so many walks of life coming. It’ll help somebody at least connect to something. It’s just a really cool night for that,” said Jobe.

The tour kicked off Jan. 5 and will be held through March 31.

“I can’t wait to see what God is going to do on Winter Jam 2018,” said tour creator and NewSong cofounder, Eddie Carswell. “Every year he amazes us with his presence and the people he draws to each venue to hear the gospel. We hope everyone can make it out this year. It’s going to be a show to remember.”
