Huddleston, Berry receive awards at council meeting

At Tuesday’s city council meeting, Montevideo Chief of Police Adam Christopher presented awards to Kylar Huddleston and Nevaeh Berry for their assistance to Colleen Redel, who was being attacked by a dog.

At Tuesday’s city council meeting, Montevideo Chief of Police Adam Christopher presented awards to Kylar Huddleston and Nevaeh Berry for their assistance to Colleen Redel, who was being attacked by a dog.

Christopher said, “As a police department and a city, based on a recommendation by the lady who was attacked by a dog, we want to give recognition to these two young folks in our community.”

On October 11, 2017, Redel was out walking her dog when another dog began attacking both her and her dog, causing injuries to both. Huddleston and Berry were nearby and took it upon themselves to intervene and help Redel.
