Husband’s friends loot woman

Under Misrod police station, a woman was looted by two friends of her husband. The accused robbed the woman of her mobile and gold chain. The incident took place near Samradha culvert. Police took more than four hours to register the case.

Police officials said the Raisen police first got information from Dial 100, but it took time to register the case as the incident took place in the jurisdiction of Misrod police station.

Interestingly when the loot incident came to light, the DIG Dharmendra Kumar Chaudhary was holding a meeting of the police officials. Police said raids are being conducted to nab the suspects and they would be arrested soon.

According to Misrod police, Monika, 25, wife of Manish Jain, works at a factory in Samardha. On Tuesday afternoon two of her husband’s friends Ranjeet and Rajesh Verma came to her house. While they were leaving, Monica said she would go to New Market. Ranjeet and Rajesh offered to drop her to New Market.

The plaintiff then rode on their bike. However, near Samardha culvert Rajesh asked Monika for her mobile to make a call to his friend. As soon as Monica gave her mobile to him, the accused also snatched her gold chain and purse that contained Rs 8000 cash. Then they fled. Police said investigations are on and the culprits would be arrested.

Narcotics peddlers in cop net

Crime branch police have nabbed two drug peddlers and recovered 30 kg of Cannabis worth Rs 3 lakh from their possession at Bhadbhada area on Tuesday.

Addl SP Crime Rashmi Shukla while speaking with media persons on Wednesday said that acting on a tip off regarding two persons in a white car without registration number, a team was dispatched and the two were nabbed and drugs were recovered from the car.

The nabbed accused were identified as Mangaldas Bairagi (25) and Ramiuddin Khan (35) of Sehore. Mangaldas works as driver while Ramiuddin is a farmer.

The accused were scheduled to get Rs 20000 each for the delivery and have confessed that they have delivered drugs twice in the past. They have received money in the past two deliveries and were in need of money and wanted to make fast money.

During the investigation it was found that Dinesh Ahirwar of Shajapur owns the car used by the two to deliver the drugs. Dinesh along with Mukeem of Shyampur he had provided the drugs to the nabbed accused to be delivered at Bhadbhada culvert.

Police have started to investigate crime record of the two nabbed accused and started search for the two main accused involved in drug trafficking.The nabbed accused persons were scheduled to deliver the drugs near Bhadbhada but they were nabbed before the delivery.

The accused would be quizzed regarding the customers in the state capital which have received the drugs earlier and those who were scheduled to collect it on Tuesday.
