There are times when The Slambovian Circus of Dreams seems like a straight-up rock band. Even a song such as “The Trans-Slambovian Bipolar Express” is more bluesy and roots than anything more wild. Then, you come across a song such as “A Very Unusual Head,” and it becomes clear how capable this band is of diving into the stranger depths of psychedelia. The range makes for an exciting and unpredictable musical experience.
