I'm a diplomatic person. I don't take sides but look at facts and reasons. Remember, I might not be a DA supporter to come to the defence of a DA official but if someone is treated unfair then it is not right. I might even be an ANC supporter, who knows?
Here is why I say Patricia De Lille is treated unfairly.
If one studies HR (human resources), it is allowed to appoint people that is known to the department or even to appoint family and friends or acquaintances. Yes, this was a shock to me too but it is allowed in the working world.
Second, the reasons given to put her on the red carpet are very petty things which leads me to think either something sinister is going on or it is political or there's more things they not telling us.
You see, nowhere does it state that whatever she did, corruption or fraud, are prevalent. This to me indicates she did not gain anything in monetary value or anything else for that matter. Yes, she swept a couple of things under the carpet but her decisions were probably in the best interest of the DA and the department. It was wrong, yes, but I believe her reasons were good.
After having said all the above, if there are true reasons and proof for the situation that she finds herself in then I will change my views.
