TIFFIN — Ohio Northern senior Amy Bullimore became Ohio Northern’s all-time leading scorer on Wednesday as the Polar Bears whipped Heidelberg 67-44 in an Ohio Athletic Conerence game at Sieberling Gymnasium.
Bullimore netted 16 points as the Polar Bears, the No. 10 in the latest NCAA Division III coaches’ poll, extended their winning streak to 15 games to improve to 15-1 overall and 9-0 in the OAC.
The Student Princes dropped to 4-12, 2-7.
Bullimore became ONU’s all-time leading scorer at the 6:10 mark of the third quarter sinking her second of two free throws. Her 1,255 career points surpass former Polar Bear standout Morgan (Dumbaugh) Bass for most in school history.
The senior also climbed within 24 rebounds of becoming ONU’s all-time rebounder.
Sophomore Emily Mescher scored 12 points for Northern, while pulling down a game-best nine rebounds.

NORTH MANCHESTER — Bluffton University gradually built up a seven-point lead through three quarters of play, then held on down the stretch to beat Manchester 62-59 on Wednesday in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women’s basketball contest.
Abigail O’Donnell pumped in 15 points, Kaycee Rowe added 13 and Macey Sheerer had 12 for Bluffton (12-4, 7-2 HCAC).
Nicole Weaver and Hannah Smith scored 18 points each for Manchester (4-12, 3-6 HCAC).

ADA — Ohio Northern University junior Ryan Bruns recorded his eighth double-double of the season with game-highs of 29 points and 11 rebounds, but the Polar Bears fell 84-80 to Heidelberg in an Ohio Athletic Conference men’s basketball game on Wednesday night at the ONU Sports Center.
ONU (11-5 overall) finished the first half of their double round-robin Ohio Athletic Conference schedule in fourth place with a 6-3 record. The Student Princes improved to 7-9, 3-6.
Nate Burger added 20 points and eight rebounds, Travis Feitshans added 15 points and Joey DiOrio chipped in 12 for Ohio Northern.
Heidelberg was led by Kiere Bennie with 17 points, Chris Moxley with 15 and Myron Prewitt with 13.

BLUFFTON — Kevin Christie pumped in a game-high 25 points on Wednesday to lead Bluffton University to a 71-66 win over Manchester in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s basketball action.
Arlington grad Andrew Hunter added 11 points and Aaron Rich scored 11 for Bluffton (8-8, 5-4 HCAC). BU was outscored 20-12 from the line. But the Beavers connected on 5 of 11 3-point attempts to Manchester’s 0-for-11 effort from long range.
Enis Becirevic scored 17 points, Adrian Johnson 12 and Cornell Hampton 11 to lead Manchester (2-14, 0-9 HCAC).
