Rostelecom connects healthcare establishments in North-Western Russia

Russian national operator Rostelecom connected 270 healthcare establishments to its fibre-optic lines in North-Western Russia at the end of 2017. The company said it deployed 160 km of fibre for this purpose in the Kaliningrad, Archangel, Vologda, Pskov, Novgorod, Murmansk and St Petersburg regions, as well as in the Republic of Karelia. The establishments were offered links with capacity starting from 10 Mbps.

Work was carried out under the framework of the state contract with the Ministry of Health Protection. Some 600 establishments will be connected to internet services from the national operator in North-Western federal district this year.
