A collection of short films with indigenous themes, curated by Jonathan Thunder — a showcase that was screened during the Duluth Superior Film Festival — gets a re-run at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Dr. Robert Powless Cultural Center. It’s free and open to the public.
The 2-hour showcase includes documentaries, poem films, music videos and storytelling. The lineup includes Savana Thunder’s “Standing Rock: An Insider’s Perspective,” “Passion: A Dog Poem by Louise Erdrich,” by Elizabeth Day, “The Sting of Memory” and “The Hymns of our Breaking Routine,” by Moira Villiard and Jonathan Thunder and a handful of picks by Lyz Jaakola.
This will be an ongoing monthly series.
