ONAWAY — The Onaway girls basketball team used a balanced performance to help pick up a second straight victory with a 52-42 triumph over Forest Area in Ski Valley action on Wednesday.
For the Lady Cardinals, who improved to 4-6, Kennedy Crawford led the way with 15 points, while Calley Selke had 14 points and five steals, and Sam Pasella tallied 12 points. Zebany Box rounded out the Lady Cardinals with 10 rebounds.
"We played well at times," said Onaway coach John George. "We shot the ball from the floor better and from the free throw line. The kids played hard. We struggled at times on defense, but we made some adjustments at the half to come away with the win."
Onaway will play at Pellston in a Ski Valley matchup on Friday night.
