"Railroads of Lehigh Gap": 7 to 9 p.m., Lehigh Gap Nature Center, 8844 Paint Mill Road, Slatington. Phil Fair is a long-time member of Lehigh Gap Nature Center and a retired social studies teacher, and will speak about the history and operations for the various rail lines that passed through Lehigh Gap, what their impact was on the history of our region and what remains of them today. Water Gap Singers: The Water Gap Singers, under the direction of Joseph Mello, will begin rehearsals for their Spring Concert at 7 p.m. Jan. 22 in The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 168 Route 94 South, Blairstown, New Jersey. Rehearsals will last until 9 p.m. Auditions are not required, only the ability to match pitches and all voice parts are open to new members. This will be an all Bernstein concert in recognition of the 100th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein’s birth. The concert will be held at 4 p.m. May 20, at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 168 Route 94, Blairstown, New Jersey. A reception will follow the concert. Monroe County Habitat for Humanity: Now accepting applications for roof repairs for 2018. The organization plans on doing 10 roof repair projects this spring. Those who have roofs suffering from leaks, old shingles, rotten plywood or bad gutters,

RSVP Seeks Volunteers: The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Monroe County is seeking adult volunteers, 55 and over, to assist in the following programs.

• Nursing home in the West End of Monroe County looking for a volunteer to do some pampering for senior residents such as manicures on weekly basis preferably from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays. No nail cutting. Soak nails, file, paint and rub with lotion.

• Clerical volunteer needed in Tobyhanna area (Memorial Boulevard) any day during the week form 9 a.m. to noon. Pick your own day. General office duties, thank you letter, logging mail and some computer skills would certainly help.

• Drivers desperately needed to help our seniors get to their doctor appointments.

• Also RSVP needs donations of warm clothing, new socks, warm hats, mittens or gloves and scarves.
