City police on Tuesday late night arrested two youths involved in the murder of a youth, whose body was found near Domuhani bridge under Sonari police station on January 14.

Jamshedpur city SP, Prabhat Kumar said that acting on tip-off, they nabbed Sikander Paswan (26) a resident of Vilash Basti under Sonari police station and based on his confession nabbed another accused Nirmal Sidhu (20).

The body of the victim was identified on January 15 as that of Sadhucharan Sardar (30), son of Kalicharan Sardar, a resident of nearby Beldih Gram under Bistupur police station. The family members had claimed that Sadhucharan had come on a cycle to see Tusu Fair at Domuhani on January 13 morning but did not returned.

“We arrested Sikander Paswan yesterday night, as he was found moving near the site where the body was found. During interrogation, he confessed to have killed the youth along with Nirmal Sidhu. We nabbed Nirmal from his house later in the night,” said city SP.

According to police, Nirmal Sidhu confessed that they decided to murder Sadhucharan on finding him alone.

“During grilling Nirmal confessed that he along with his brother (Boyo Sidhu) had been assaulted by Sadhucharan and his accomplices during Vishwakarma Puja last year (in September) at Beldih Gram while they had gone to witness a football match. When Nirmal saw Sadhucharan alone on a cycle, they decided to kill him and after beating him they dragged his body and bludgeoned him,” said Kumar.
