District magistrate Pauri, Sushil Kumar sounded annoyed over the slow progress of the works being done by the Public Works Department and PMGSY given to complete as yearly targets and said that no excuse would be brooked as far as development is concerned.
He asked the superintending engineers of both the departments to speed things up. He chaired a joint meeting of PWD, PMGSY and Health in Pauri on Wednesday.
DM asked PMGSY to dispose of the pending cases involving the forest conservation in different divisions for transfer of land for pending road projects. He also sounded worried over the non-functional digital X-ray and other instruments in the hospitals in Pauri and Srinagar and directed the Chief medical officer to have them repaired immediately. He further said that Rs 20 lakh would be given from the district plan for the repairing of the dysfunctional instruments of the hospitals. DM along with the chief development officer Ravneet Chimma inspected the District Women Hospital in Pauri and saw the condition of the labour rooms.
Among those present during the review meeting were CDO Ravneet Chimma, CMO R S Rana, Dy CMO N K Tayagi, HCS Martoliya, executive engineer PMGSY Kotdwar R C Gupta and PWD executive engineer provincial division Aunpam Saxsena.
