The PM told the meeting that the opposition would stand to gain from a clash between the UNP and the president. Therefore, there should be no
unnecessary clashes to make the opposition stronger, he said.
The PM also advised Ranjan Ramanayake to adhere to the party stand, noting that he has been making conflicting remarks to the media.
