‘House of horror’ dad ‘creepily watched sister-in-law shower’

A CHILD-TORTURE accused dad spied on his wife’s sister as she showered, according to explosive claims.

Elizabeth Flores, 41, said Disney-obsessed David Turpin, 57, often made her feel very uncomfortable, but brushed off his shower-watching as “a joke”.

The alleged incidents happened decades ago when she stayed at the Turpin’s former home in Texas, where they lived until 2010.

Mrs Flores said: “If I went to get in the shower, he would come in while I was in there and watch me – it was like a joke.”

She added: “He never touched me or anything. I was young, I was scared. I was in Texas where I knew nobody.

“I was treated like one of the kids, I had rules.”

The shocking account comes after her sister Louise, 49, and David were charged on with torture and child endangerment of their 13 children, aged 2 to 29, on Monday.

Officers found them in their filthy California home after one of the children – a 17-year-old girl – bravely escaped through a window and alerted the police.

Three of the children were imprisoned with padlocks and chains.

Mrs Flores said she wanted to reach out to the children and establish regular contact with them after it had been severed decades ago.

She added: “For years, we begged to see them, I’ve asked for 20 years to be able to Skype them.

“I want them to know they have family that love them, whether they know us or not.”

Louise first cut ties with her family when she married David at 16, according to relatives.

They added the Turpins were always “real private”, so the rest of the family didn’t think their remoteness was “abnormal”.
