Four Dakota Fusion soccer players getting pro looks

FARGO—Three West Fargo High School graduates and one Fargo South High School graduate are getting some attention from pro soccer teams after playing with Fargo's Dakota Fusion FC semi-pro team last year.

Jade Johnson, a 2011 West Fargo graduate, received a contract from a pro club in Australia. Akeem Smith, a 2015 West Fargo graduate, signed a contract with Harnosand SC in Sweden. Zuheer Al Abase, a 2014 West Fargo graduate, and Isaac Kehson, a 2013 Fargo South graduate, received invitations to attend the National Premier Soccer League Player Showcase in Kissimmee, Fla.

The Showcase consists of four teams from four regions across the country. Teams will compete in front of an estimated 50 scouts from Major League Soccer, the North American Soccer League and the United Soccer League and foreign clubs.
