Dhaka University students have demonstrated at campus demanding punishment of the Chhatra League leaders and activists who foiled their sit-in against affiliation of seven colleges last Monday.
The protesters formed a human chain in front of the Aprajeyo Bangla and brought out a procession on the campus in favour of their demand today, reports our DU correspondent.
The activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), a front organisation of ruling Awami League, on Monday foiled a demonstration of the students demanding that the university cancel its affiliation with seven colleges.
The BCL men on that day also dragged one of the coordinators of the protesters inside the vice-chancellor's office and roughed him up. They also took away his mobile phone and money.
The students are now took position in front of the university’s proctor office also demanding an answer from him over the incident occurred by the BCL men.
However, Proctor Prof Golam Rabbani took 30-minute time for taking a decision on the students’ demands.
