A trio of people are behind bars after a residence was raided by police Tuesday.

Abilene police said a man was found in the bathroom of the residence in the 2200 block of South 18th Street attempting to flush methamphetamine down the toilet.

Police said meth was found in the toilet, on the floor and in an empty container on the floor when they caught the guy. Four syringes were also found in plain view in a different room, each loaded with methamphetamine.

Digital scales and packaging were also found on the scene.

The man was charged with manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance and tempering with evidence,

Also at the scene, police said, a woman who identified herself as homeless was found with 47 capsules of methamphetamine in her purse.

She was charged with manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance due to the capsules being "more than is common for personal use," police said.

A third person at the scene surrendered a marijuana cigar but provided a false name and birth date when asked, police said.

She was charged with possession of marijuana, false identification and an unidentified warrant,

Police were told by a resident that someone entered the victim's storage shed and took a lawn mower, a weed trimmer and a big-screen television.

A woman was arrested, police said, after sticking four packages of ground beef in her bag and leaving the store. Police said she has two prior convictions for theft.

Police said a woman was arrested after she attempted to pass a check belonging to an individual currently incarcerated.

A woman told police her apartment door had been kicked in, possibly by someone who stayed there previously. She told police the only things missing were clothes belonging to that former guest.
