Because your New Year’s Resolutions are dead anyway…
Comfort food alert for Littleton: Grande Station opened downtown with separate menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner featuring delicious-sounding (but maybe not quite calorie-conscious) dishes like biscuits with chorizo sausage gravy, New Orleans chicken pasta and flash-fried shrimp sticks. Sure, they have healthier options, too, but come on — fried shrimp sticks. 2299 W. Main St., Littleton, 303-942-0662; grandestation.com
Pizza and beer
Oh, build-your-own, fast-casual pizza chains. There’s the spontaneity of strolling down the line, picking and choosing which ingredients will crown your pie, but there’s also that safety net that comes with chains — you know what you’re going to get in terms of taste. PizzaRev Taproom in Fort Collins, opening Jan. 20, adds a self-pour beer and wine wall to the mix, using high-tech wristbands and a pay-by-the-ounce system. 649 S. College Ave., Fort Collins, 970-484-2190; pizzarev.com

Chinese food is never not a good idea
Change is afoot in Capitol Hill. After a long vacancy, Little Gingko Asian Café has opened in the former Gypsy House Café spot on Marion Street. Little Gingko serves mostly American-style Chinese food — think kung pao, crab cheese wontons and sesame chicken — with some Thai and Japanese staples thrown in to give you a continental experience. 1279 N. Marion St., Denver, 303-993-2327
Clearly we need more poke
Menya Ramen & Poke is coming for us. After opening a few spots last year (on Little Raven St., 16th St. and in Greenwood Village) Menya is bringing its poke, ramen, curry, udon and bulgogi to Colfax, flaunting that the poke trend isn’t slowing down any time soon. Le sigh. 600 E. Colfax Ave., Denver, 303-353-8497; menyacolorado.com
