Lafourche Parish public schools will be closed again Thursday because of the cold weather.
Catholic schools in Lafourche and Terrebonne will also be closed. The Max Charter School and Bayou Community Academy in Thibodaux will be closed.
Messiah Montessori School in Houma will be also remain closed Thursday.
"Extremely cold temperatures and potential hazardous travel conditions are predicted," the school said in a Facebook post. "Our main concern is safety for our families and children."
Terrebonne Parish public schools will reopen Thursday. Schools Superintendent Philip Martin said the dress code will be suspended so students can wear warm clothes, and students will be picked up at their homes instead of at bus stops.
St. Matthew's Episcopal School in Houma will also be open Thursday. Students can wear school shirts with jeans, any long-sleeved under shirts and any warm outerwear.
Lafourche and Terrebonne government offices will be open Thursday. The Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court's Office will be closed.
City of Thibodaux offices will be closed Thursday, as will Thibodaux City Court.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are expected to drop down to the 18-22 degree range.
