Obituary for Hershel Caldwell

Hershel Caldwell passed away January 15, 2018

Hershel Caldwell the son of Art Caldwell and Mabel Winfrey Caldwell was born in Higden, Arkansas on October 7, 1931 and passed away in Heber Springs, Arkansas on January 15, 2018 at the age of 86 years. He was a retired truck driver for Arkansas Best Freight and was a member of the Heber Springs Church of Christ.  Hershel enjoyed going to yard sales, auctions and flea markets.  He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grand kids and great grandkids.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and a 36 year member of AA. Hershel was preceded in death by his parents Art and Mabel Caldwell, three brothers J. C. Caldwell, Alton Caldwell and Verlon Caldwell, three sisters Hazel Potter, Maurine Powell and Lois Ruth Caldwell and his father and mother in law John and Lena Morgan.  He is survived by his wife Patricia Morgan Caldwell of Heber Springs, two sons David Caldwell and wife Mona of Heber Springs and Tim Caldwell and wife Connie of Greers Ferry, one daughter Cheryl Bates and husband Brent of Heber Springs, two sisters Lucille Cullum of Higden and Betty Ross of Phoenix, Arizona.  He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren besides other relatives and many friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 12:00 in the Heber Springs Church of Christ and funeral services will be at the church at 1:00 P.M. by Brad Bates, Jimmy Bates and Tim Caldwell. Pallbearers will be Brad Bates, Jimmy Bates, Kayla Johnson, Cassie Fitzgerald, Andrew Caldwell and Rachael Hanna.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Cliff Mitchell, Ronnie Belew, Richard Waite, Roy Mahon and Willie Morgan.
