UPDATE: 3 teens arrested after Waterbury shooting

Juveniles fleeing condo complex face numerous charges

WATERBURY – Police arrested three juvenile males after a shooting at Mall View Condos on Mark Lane on Tuesday afternoon.

Police responded to the 31-unit condominium complex, which faces Mark Lane but has an address of 2 Craftwood Road, at about 1:15 p.m.

A parked SUV and a condo unit were both hit by gunfire, police said. Officers found evidence of at least four shots fired.

While detectives combed the scene, officers tracked down an Acura TL that was seen fleeing from the scene with the suspected shooter and two others.

Police found the Acura and arrested three juveniles.

The 15-year-old alleged shooter was charged with criminal possession of a pistol, third-degree larceny, possession of a firearm without a permit, unlawful discharge of a firearm, weapons in a motor vehicle, illegal sale or transfer of a firearm, theft of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, risk of injury to a minor, interfering with an officer, criminal possession of a firearm or ammunition, first-degree criminal mischief and criminal attempt at first-degree assault with a firearm.

Also, a 14-year-old male was charged with second-degree breach of peace, weapons in a motor vehicle, interfering with an officer, third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree larceny.

Another 14-year-old male was charged with interfering with an officer.

Their names were not released due to their ages.
