(MENAFN - Pajhwok Afghan News) BAMYAN (Pajhwok): Some 200 poor families received coal in assistance in central Bamyan province, an official said on Wednesday.
Provincial Refugees and Returnees department head, Aziziullah Amen, told Pajhwok Afghan News the assistance had been provided by German and each family 300 kilograms of coal worth 2,500 afghanis.
He said overall poverty level was very high in the province and this winter all poor families could not be provided fuel materials due to their shortage.
Sakina, a beneficiary, expressed her happiness and said the assistance was useful for them cold winter and added a lot of families were benefited.
Mohammad Ali, another beneficiary, said he had been jobless since a long time and added the aid would help needy families.
