Former "Today" show anchor Katie Couric will be back on NBC next month.

The network announced Wednesday that Couric will co-host the Olympic Winter Games Opening Ceremony on Feb. 9 in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Host Mike Tirico will join Couric for the ceremony.

Additionally, Couric will interview athletes and provide coverage for NBC in the days after the ceremony.

Couric, who spent 15 years as co-anchor at "Today," said in a statement "there's nothing quite like" the Games.
