New world champion Rob Cross and world number one Michael van Gerwen are set to clash for the first time since their classic Alexandra Palace semi-final in Dublin next month.
The duo could meet at the end of this month in the Masters tournament but the opening night of the Premier League is their first scheduled game since the sudden-death decider that sent Cross on his way to glory.
Van Gerwen is the current Premier League champion.
Derry’s Daryl Gurney will also make his debut in the event and will play crowd favourite Raymond van Barneveld at the 3Arena on 1 February.
Another big clash in Dublin will see a repeat of the 2017 UK Open final as Peter Wright - last year's Premier League runner-up - takes on Welsh debutant Gerwyn Price.
Austrian ace Mensur Suljovic plays Australia's Simon Whitlock, while Gary Anderson meets Michael Smith.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that Justin Pipe was fined and given a "warning as to his future behaviour" after the PDC's DRA (Darts Regulation Authority) found that he had "coughed at match dart with the intention of putting off opponent – alleged gamesmanship and bring the sport into disrepute".
It follows an incident during his first-round victory over New Zealand qualifier Bernie Smith at the World Championship in December.
