Dozens of schools across Nova Scotia are dismissing students early today as Environment Canada calls for as much as 20 centimetres of snow to fall today and tomorrow.
The South Shore Regional School Board, the Tri-County Regional School Board, Conseil scolaire acadien provincial schools in Clare and Argyle, Centre scolaire de la Rive-Sud, and South Shore Waldorf School and Kindergarten are dismissing students at noon.
The Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board and École Rose-des-Vents are dismissing students at 11:30 a.m.
Schools in the Strait Regional School Board and the Marconi campus of NSCC will close at 1 p.m.
Environment Canada has placed the following areas under snowfall warnings:
- Colchester County – Cobequid Bay
- Colchester County North
- Cumberland County
- Inverness County – Mabou and North
- Victoria County
The rest of the province is under a special weather statement and should expect to see 10 to 15 centimetres of snow fall before Thursday morning.
