“It is urgent to have this regulation in force to definitively eliminate drunken tourism”
Alfonso Rodriguez
Brit revellers have been heading to the Spanish resort for decades in search of sun, sea and debauchery.
But Mallorca chiefs are aiming to stop drunken tourism on the island.

Calvia mayor Alfonso Rodriguez has put several restrictions in place to try and stop this, aiming to curb drunken behaviour in the seaside resort.
These include banning alcohol at all inclusive hotels between time periods and imposing strict rules for behaviour on the strip.
However, these appear not to have the desired effect, with more and more drunk revellers flocking to Maga last year.

As a result, Mr Rodriguez has appealed for more regulations to help turn Magaluf into a family friendly holiday destination.
He said it is "fundamental and urgent to have this regulation in force to definitively eliminate drunken tourism".
