James T. Bell Hopewell Township Formerly of Coraopolis James T. Bell, age 79, of Hopewell Twp., formerly of Coraopolis, passed away unexpected but peacefully at his home on Monday, January 15, 2018. He was born in Sewickley on November 20, 1938, one of 12 to the late Marie (Wagner) and Raymond W. Bell, Sr. Jim is survived by his loving wife of over 53 years, Bonnie (Rank) Bell. Loving father of Mark Bell of Coraopolis, Melinda Nordi (Tim) of Hopewell Twp., Dianna Chrise (James) of Franklin Park, Thomas "TJ" Bell (Natalie Irwin) of Aliquippa and the late James "Jimbo" Bell, Jr., he was the cherished grandfather of Randall (Kara), Brett, Jacob, Amanda, Tanner, Landon and Bryce; proud great- grandfather of Carmella; brother of Charles Bell, Rose Marie Weber, Virginia Davies, Betty Brough, Mary Lou (Bob) Coradi, Jean (Jim) Kozerovich, Daniel (Nance) Bell and the late Raymond W. Bell, Jr., William Bell, Barbara Moseberger and Robert Bell; brother-in-law of Jean (Sam) Belli and Billy Morris; also many loving nieces and nephews. Jim served in the U.S. Army and was retired from J&L - LTV Steel. He was also a member of St. Titus Church. Jim was a very kind, loving and generous man who would go out of his way to help others. He was best known as a practical jokester with a great sense of humor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors and wildlife. Throughout the years he adored all of the family pets but what he loved and cherished the upmost was spending time with his grandchildren and family. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at COPELAND CORAOPOLIS FUNERAL HOME, 867 Fifth Ave., www.copelandfuneralhomes.com, where prayers will be recited on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Coraopolis, with Father Richard Jones, celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hopewell Twp., with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his name to Animal Friends or ASPCA.
