At a time when the Arumughaswamy commission is probing the circumstances of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s death, sidelined AIADMK leader VK Sasikala’s younger brother Divakaran on Wednesday claimed that the former Chief Minister had died on December 4, 2016 itself and hinted that the Union government is aware of it.

Divakaran said he got information that Jayalalithaa had died of massive heart attack on December 4 and when he reached the hospital ‘an eagle’ from the Centre was present there. “I cannot name the eagle, since it had flown to a higher post which cannot be criticised. ‘An egg’ was giving the details of Jayalalithaa’s death to the eagle.
Speaking at a public meeting at Mannargudi, he also charged the Apollo Hospital with not coming forward to say the truth immediately. Divakaran said he asked the hospital management why they had not announced the death, but the authorities replied that they are waiting for the government to ensure protection to all its hospitals in the state.
The Apollo Hospitals had declared that Jayalalithaa had died on December 5 night following a massive heart attack.
