Flagler County deputies are investigating the death of a Palm Coast woman a little more than two months after she was ensnared in a drug raid at her home.
Authorities said they do not suspect foul play in Jessica Coubrough’s death, although the Medical Examiner’s Office continues working to determine a cause of death.
Deputies found Coubrough, 55, dead when officers responded to her home at 21 Fort Caroline Lane on Monday night. She had apparently been dead for some time, according to a media release from the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies raided the Fort Caroline Lane home Nov. 5 and arrested four people, including Coubrough. She was charged with drug possession. She remained jailed until Jan. 9.
“This has been a problem residence regarding drug use,” Flagler Sheriff Rick Staly said in Tuesday's release. “I was just here with our team last November when we raided this house and four people were arrested, including Coubrough. Unfortunately it seems she could not break the addiction.”
