Why Antonio Conte will NOT be at Chelsea next season - Nigel Reo-Coker's huge claim

NIGEL REO-COKER would be surprised if Antonio Conte was at Chelsea next season.

Nigel Reo-Coker thinks Antonio Conte will be off in the summer

Conte's future has been in question since the summer when he signed a new contract but did not extend it.

He has been constantly linked with a return to Italy while PSG have also been credited with an interest.

Conte took Chelsea to the title in his first season but cracks have appeared since with the Diego Costa fiasco in the summer and a struggle with form this season.

They are on a run of four draws in a row and have failed to score in the last three.

And Reo-Coker thinks Conte will be off in the summer.

"Sometimes it's hard to read what he's really thinking," he said on Premier League Daily on Sky Sports.

"Sometimes he seems to be happy, but sometimes he likes to put it out there that he's not too happy, that his future is in the hands of the club. It's an interesting one. He's playing the game.

"I'll be surprised if he's at Chelsea next season - just reading his body language and his comments and how he's been. I'll be surprised if he's there next year."

And the former West Ham midfielder thinks he will not be short of options.

"I think he will always be a manager that's in demand," he said.

"Football always changes and you don't know what's around the corner, at the moment I think he is focussed on Chelsea but long-term wise I'm not too sure about that."

And when asked if Chelsea were likely to be sounding out new managers already, he said: "I wouldn't be surprised.

"Football has become such a big business, so I'm sure clubs and managers are on the same page and looking at other options."
