Real Madrid news: James Rodriguez speaks out about ill-fated Bernabeu exit
JAMES RODRIGUEZ has lifted the lid on his departure from Real Madrid.
The Colombian had an ill-fated exit in the summer as Zinedine Zidane shipped out several star men.
Portuguese duo Pepe and Fabio Coentrao were the other notable departures.
Rodriguez was sent to Bayern Munich on a two-year loan and rumours began to circulate that it was because he was lazy in training.
But the midfielder has hit back at those claims and insisted that it was only because Zidane wanted to bring his own players into the fold.
Rodriguez adds that he respected his bosses wishes but was gutted to be told that he had to move on from Real Madrid.

My exit was sad and hard because it was my dream (to play for Real).
“I do not know if Zidane was unjust with me but when I went out I did interesting things,” Rodriguez told El Chiringuito TV.
“Each coach has his players and I respect that.
"Zidane had a lot of quality and I admire that type of player.
“But those who said that I did not train well at Madrid wanted to make damage.
“My exit was sad and hard because it was my dream (to play for Real) but football is that way.”

Since Rodriguez left the Bernabeu Real Madrid have struggled as they sit fourth in the La Liga tale.
But the 26-year-old has backed his parent club to turn results around soon.
“Real Madrid are in a bad phase but they can turn it around,” Rodriguez added.
“A Real Madrid vs Bayern (Champions League) final would be fine. I think they will eliminate PSG."
