CISF conducts mock drill 'terrorist attack' at Delhi metro station

The (CISF), along with the (UP) Police, conducted a mock drill on Wednesday at the metro station here to test their preparedness against possible terror attacks in the wake of forthcoming celebration.

The drill started at 12 noon when two mock terrorists entered the station and opened fire at commuters and the staff.

Upon hearing the gun shots, the duty personnel deployed at the security point, immediately took their position in order to retaliate them.

The shift in-charge immediately sensed the urgency of the situation and conveyed the message to as well as their seniors.

Subsequently, the conveyed the scene to all the agencies as per contingency, as well as all concerned for re-enforcement.

QRT teams, BDS teams, Dog Squad teams and re-enforcement teams of CISF immediately responded to overcome the panic situation.

However, two metro commuters got severely injured in this terrorist attack and they were shifted to nearby Yashoda Super speciality hospital for necessary treatment and in counter firing one terrorist was shot dead and another was arrested by security personnel.

Within the time frame, other teams of various stakeholders i.e., NSG, and the teams of UP Police i.e. ATS, Dog Squad, BDS team, Fire Service, Traffic Police, Medical Services and also reached at the spot and participated actively.

In this exercise, a total 167 personnel from different agencies participated (CISF-75 personnel and other agencies- 92 personnel).
