A former White House adviser for the Obama administration touted his respect for Dr. Ronny Jackson on Tuesday as the White House doctor spent an hour informing reporters that the results of President Trump's physical showed that he was in good health and "fit for duty."

"Dr. Jackson is a phenomenal doctor and a really great guy. He and his team took great care of all of us for many years," Dan Pfeiffer, former senior White House adviser for President Barack Obama tweeted.

Jackson said both Trump's cognitive exam and physical exam yielded "excellent" results.

"In summary, the president's overall health is excellent ... he continues to enjoy the significant long-term cardiac and overall health benefits that come from a lifetime of abstinence from tobacco and alcohol," Jackson said.

Jackson has served as the physician to the president since July 2013.

Pfeffier also lightheartedly tweeted that Trump's high cholesterol is "highly disconnected" from Democrats' efforts to take back the House.
